Football: Brazilian Henrique's winning brace for Roar
A brace from Brazilian Henrique lifted Brisbane Roar back to the top of Australia's A-League in a 3-0 win over Melbourne Heart in Brisbane on Sunday.
The diminutive Henrique's double along with captain Matt Smith's 77th minute volley ensured the injury-hit Roar moved back to the top of the standings with their third win in four games.
Heart extended their win-less run away from home to 16 games.
The Roar lead by one point over Western Sydney Wanderers, who beat Adelaide United 2-1 with a double from young striker Tomi Juric.
Perth Glory are third after a 1-0 win over Sydney FC, with the winning goal coming off a penalty from Steve McGarry in the ninth minute.
The pressure continues to mount on Sydney and coach Frank Farina following his team's third defeat, while Italian superstar Alessandro Del Piero returned from injury and came off the bench in the 62nd minute.
Defending champions Central Coast Mariners came from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 with the Newcastle Jets in Newcastle.
Defender Scott Neville ended the Jets' 457-minute barren streak when he was on the spot to tap home, and the Jets went two goals up five minutes later when goalkeeper Justin Pasfield missed a back-pass which just crossed the goal-line before he could clear it.
Argentine Marcos Flores converted a penalty, and the Mariners equalised in the 80th minute when Mile Sterjovski found an open goal after a mis-hit Flores shot rebounded to him off the crossbar.
Melbourne Victory, under new coach Kevin Muscat, play Wellington Phoenix in the remaining match on Monday.
