Cherries on top of Championship as Solanke sinks QPR
Bournemouth moved to the top of the Championship after star striker Dominic Solanke sealed a precious 1-0 win at QPR on Monday.
The Cherries' first win in six matches took them one point above previous leaders Fulham, who have a game in hand.
Solanke bagged his 18th goal this season four minutes before half-time after Sam Field was adjudged to have fouled Jefferson Lerma.
The resulting free-kick was swung in from the left by Junior Stanislas and Solanke flicked his header past Seny Dieng into the far corner.
QPR finished with 10 men after Andre Dozzell was sent off in the final moments.
Colin Kazim-Richards' bizarre goal gave bottom of the table Derby a 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion at Pride Park.
Kazim-Richards' first league goal since April made it successive wins for Wayne Rooney's team for the first time since February.
The substitute punished a dreadful mix-up between Albion's Cedric Kipre and goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The goal was Derby's only effort on target as fourth placed West Brom paid the price for missing several chances.
It was a welcome tonic for Derby after their prospective takeover by US businessman Chris Kirchner was called off on Christmas Eve, with the club's administrators saying an announcement on an alternative preferred bidder was "imminent".
The Rams are 12 points from safety after being deducted 21 points this season for various financial issues.
