Bologna's Italy international Simone Verdi has been ruled out of action for a month with a hamstring injury, the Serie A club said Thursday.

"The latest tests .. have revealed that the player has damaged his biceps femoris muscle in his left hamstring. He will now be absent for an estimated 30 days," Bologna said in a statement.

The 25-year-old forward -- reported to have turned down an offer from Napoli -- picked up the injury in last weekend's defeat to Maurizio Sarri's side.

Bologna are struggling in 12th -- 30 points behind leaders Napoli after 22 games.
